Re-Certification and Continuing Education

The Pilates Method Alliance requires all PMA Certified Pilates teachers to maintain 16 hours of PMA approved CEC’s every two years. The PMA provides a list of approved CEC Providers on its web site.

CASTLE Worldwide our testing partner will handle all procedure for re-certification of PMA Certified Pilates Teachers. CASTLE will email all certified teachers a reminder about re-certification and requirements on the following schedule prior to your renewal date: 6months, 3 months, and finally 1 month prior to your re-certification date.

All paperwork and payments for re-certification should be mailed into CASTLE Worldwide at the address given on your re-certification reminder.

Certification Revocation / Application Refusal ...

Applications for the CPT examination may be refused or CPT certification may be revoked for any of the following reasons:

  • Incomplete applications
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements
  • Falsification and/or misrepresentation of credentials or
    application data
  • Adjudicated penalty for violation of the PMA Code of Ethics

If you are notified of revocation you will also be notified of the available appeal process.
